Exactly 200 years ago today, on 29 December 1824, the tailor Johann Nepomuk Reithoffer received a patent for waterproof fabrics, laying the foundation for today's SEMPERIT AG. In 2024, we have successfully continued Semperit's proud and eventful history as a global pioneer and solution provider in the field of elastomers products. We have not only held our own in a still challenging market environment, but have also strengthened our position. We celebrated our special anniversary with numerous events and reported on many of our success stories in the areas of Innovation, Global Pioneer, Customer Player and Sustainable Partner on our 200years website https://lnkd.in/dMsbJa7m. Our sheave liner comes with a warranty for a minimum mileage of 30,000 km. In our anniversary year – SEMPERIT AG celebrates its 200th birthday at the end of December – we have received a special award. Our Sustainability Report for the 2023 financial year has been honoured with the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award (ASRA). We were delighted to take first place in the category for ATX Prime companies. The award is an important confirmation for us. As an industrial group in a resource-intensive industry, circular economy and recycling are among our main strategic directions. In addition, we make countless smaller and larger adjustments. Transparent and comprehensive reporting on this is important for us because it holds us accountable and shows our progress, but of course also those areas where we still have room for improvement. Sustainability is one of our core corporate principles. After all, Semperit would not have reached its 200th anniversary without sustainability in its DNA.
