With 23% of the Austrian population being more than 65 years old in 2023, the need for caregivers is increasing rapidly. Yet, the care-at-home crisis is already here. In order to tackle the care crisis, we need to act now. Fair pay for caregivers is essential, as well as increased funding in general. Expanding the ÖQZ-24 quality certificate will help establish higher standards, while opening access to caregivers from non-EU countries is vital to meet growing demand. These are only some of the requirements that are needed for making a step towards better care.   It's time to act - a call to all of us, but above all to policymakers. Because care is a matter that we can only tackle together. 💪

The situation in the nursing and care sector in Austria is already more than tense. By 2030, 23% of the Austrian population will be more than 65 years old. Approximately 76,000 additional care workers will be needed to cover care needs in Austria by 2030, with 42 000 of them replacing retiring care workers only.   Our health system is confronted with a major challenge already - transformation is needed and this requires joint forces. 💪

🚀 Mavie Next is hosting a workshop at Technische Universität Wien! 🚀   On November 19th, we’re excited to host an interactive, hands-on session in #AI and #LanguageModels tailored for side projects. TU students will dive into training a chatbot on their own dataset, integrating it into a Next.js application, and applying it to real-world scenarios. This workshop will be led by our expert colleagues Daria Lyubaeva, Cezar Neaga, Alexei Scerbakov and Marcela Hoyos, bringing their expertise to help the students build and integrate their own AI solutions. ❌ Do we lack awareness of our mental health? Take a look at the newest insights on Austria's mental health: There is often a plan B in life, but what about our #health? There is no substitute for that. That's why it's so important to look after our health and recognize warning signs early on, such as #stress. We asked almost 400 Austrians about their #mentalhealth and what the biggest stress factors are. The findings from the study are not only eye-opening, but alarming. Here are some key insights: 😖 Although 2/3 rate their mental health as (very) good, more than 50% claim to be stressed (very) often - and that stress is increasing 💼 70% say that work has been the biggest stress factor in the past year 😴 Almost 50% suffer from sleep problems 🚨 Every third person has experienced exhaustion or even burnout in the past 12 months Do we lack awareness of our mental health?
