Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities! Since the very beginning of my career accessibility has been part of my personal requirements. Even at my student job at Haus der Musik, as soon as a visitor with a mobility aid entered, I would go and open every double door in the exhibition. Inclusion for me means going beyond baseline requirements. Accessibility in itself is neither the problem nor the goal, it is simply the tool needed to build inclusive spaces. It may appear as a problem due to gaps in knowledge, but you can learn how to solve it. Ultimately it is a question of empathy and respect. Unter den Forbes 30 Under 30 Österreich: Laura Wissiak: In ihrer Position als Chief Research Officer bei Hope Tech Plus, einem InclusionTech-Startup, das Lösungen für die Mobilität von Menschen mit Sehbehinderungen entwickelt, spielt Wissiak eine bedeutende Rolle. Ihr Fokus liegt auf User- und Marktanalysen, um maßgeschneiderte Lösungen für individuelle Bedürfnisse zu bieten. Highlights of our recently concluded engineering bootcamp. 🛠️👷🏾♀️ Last week marked the first edition of the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 a program tailored to mentor, train and empower young and curious minds with #engineering skills. Over the 5 action-packed days, these future leaders got immersed into design thinking, #robotics, and building circuit boards. They also explored the ins and outs of #coding, and mastered #3D printing at an advanced level—showcasing incredible #creativity, #innovation, #teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We’re beyond proud of each participant’s progress, and their keen interest in the program’s offerings. It is clear that the future of #engineering is in capable hands. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our dedicated students, mentors, supportive parents, and the passionate Senses Hub team. And this is just the first edition! Plans are already underway for the next one which will be over the upcoming school holidays—bigger, better, and even more inspiring.
