  • Meet Paulina: Our Clinical Validation Specialist Paulina, 30, hails from nowhere less than vibrant Mexico City! Initially aspiring to be a vet, her curiosity for broader scientific impact led her to biotechnology. A year abroad in Denver, where she took AP biology, deepened her love for science and set her on a path to studying cell and molecular biology. She earned a BSc in biotechnology from Universidad Simón Bolívar, focusing her thesis on BRCA1 gene expression in childhood leukemia. After gaining some experience in pharma, she pursued an MSc in medical pharmaceutical biotechnology at IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences and now calls Austria home. She came to Cellectric after finishing her thesis and loves how it embodies collaboration and shared purpose, improving diagnostics worldwide. Though she misses Mexico's corn-based dishes and Mexican warmer weather, Paulina likes the healthy Austrian cuisine, especially Spinatknödel and of course, lovely Vienna. In her downtime, she enjoys hitting the gym, hiking, painting nature and animals, and making desserts. A lover of thrillers, she often visits the cinema or theater. 🌽 🎨 😸 Fun fact: Paulina has a habit of trying local desserts wherever she travels, making Austria's pastry culture a dream come true. 🍰 #biotechjobs #womeninscience #AustrianStartups #diversity

  • Meet Sandra, our youngest brightest scientist! 🚀 Sandra, 27, grew up in Lower Austria and discovered her passion for science early, even while attending a music-focused school where she played the violin. Her love of biology shaped her academic journey, leading her to a master’s degree in biotechnology at University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). 🎻 🌿 One of Cellectric’s earliest team members, Sandra began as an intern and then stayed on full-time. She values the collaborative, creative, and driven atmosphere at Cellectric, where science plays a key role in solving real-world challenges. 💞 Outside the lab, Sandra enjoys traveling to unique destinations like Sulawesi, escaping the city on weekends for climbing, hiking, mushroom hunting, and ski touring. She also loves arts & crafts, pickles vegetables, and goes to classical-music concerts. ⛷️ 🎶 🍄🟫 Fun fact: She started bouldering and climbing to overcome her fear of heights, and so far, it has been both rewarding and challenging. She has even done ziplining at one of the longest ziplines in the world in Costa Rica, a whopping 1600 meters of adrenaline action! 🙌 #womeninscience #biotechjobs #AustrianStartups

  • ⚡ Our technology uses electrodynamic cell modulation, a technique that uses insulated metal electrodes to generate electric fields that interact with cells without passing current through them. This ensures precise targeting, enabling selective disruption, sorting, or transport of specific cells and molecules while preserving their natural state.    By modulating the #electrome, our platform speeds up and simplifies tasks like cell isolation and pathogen detection, making it highly effective for rapid, automated diagnostics.    For instance, in sepsis diagnosis, our technology isolates viable bacteria or yeast from complex samples, enhancing the speed of detection. This capability holds immense potential to save lives by enabling faster, more accurate treatment decisions in healthcare.    Our technology offers the potential for wide-ranging applications, from pathogen detection to gene transfer! 👉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dvQWC5Xc   #bioelectricity #deeptech #sepsis
