The return on investment (ROI) and dividends for investors in organic agriculture over a 5 to 30-year period depend on various factors, including the scale of the project, market conditions, geographic location, and business model. Here's an overview of attractive and realistic ROIs and dividends across short-term (5 years), medium-term (10-15 years), and long-term (20-30 years) periods: --- Short-Term ROI (5 Years) ROI Range: 5-10% annually. Key Drivers: Initial high setup costs (certifications, soil conversion). Revenue from early crops or value-added products. Demand for organic products is growing steadily, ensuring market access. Challenges: Soil conversion takes 2-3 years, and yields may initially be lower than conventional farming. Dividend Potential: Limited in the first 2-3 years due to reinvestment needs, but possible 3-5% annually in years 4-5. --- Medium-Term ROI (10-15 Years) ROI Range: 10-20% annually. Key Drivers: Established operations with higher organic yields and reduced costs from economies of scale. Premium pricing for certified organic products. Potential for diversified income streams (e.g., agro-tourism, eco-branding). Dividend Potential: 5-10% annually as operations stabilize and profits grow. --- Long-Term ROI (20-30 Years) ROI Range: 15-30% annually. Key Drivers: Fully optimized operations, strong market presence, and brand loyalty. Increased soil fertility and lower input costs. Opportunities for vertical integration (e.g., organic processing units). Favorable policies or carbon credits for sustainable practices. Dividend Potential: 10-15% annually, depending on reinvestment strategies and market dynamics. --- Strategies to Maximize ROI and Dividends 1. Diversification: Combine crop cultivation with livestock, agroforestry, or renewable energy. 2. Value-Addition: Invest in processing facilities for organic products (e.g., organic juices, snacks). 3. Contracts and Partnerships: Secure long-term contracts with retailers or food brands. 4. Technology Integration: Use precision agriculture and AI to improve productivity and reduce waste. 5. Sustainability Credits: Leverage carbon credits or other environmental incentives. --- Risk Considerations Market Risks: Price volatility, competition, and shifting consumer preferences. Climate Risks: Organic systems are more sensitive to pests and weather extremes initially. Regulatory Risks: Changes in organic certification standards or subsidies. By focusing on a combination of short-term gains and long-term sustainability, organic agriculture offers attractive investment opportunities with significant impact potential. 🌽 #EU remains the key export market for #Ukrainian #corn In 2024, Ukraine exported 14.06 mln tons of corn to the European Union. This is 1.2 mln tons less than in 2023. This was announced by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine. “But the EU is still our key corn market - 49.2% of all our exports go there. The same goes for wheat. We exported 7.3 mln tons in 2024, 0.9 mln less. But this is still 34% of our total wheat exports and many times more than we exported before the war (+- 1 mln tons),” he said. “The most telling figure is the reduction in #sunseed exports by 76%. Last year, we exported only 181 thsd tons of sunflower seeds to the EU. However, exports of #sunflower_oil grew by 13%. And with a value of $2.87 bln, this product is No. 1 in our exports to the EU. At the same time, the EU's share amounted to 59% of our total exports of sunflower oil,” added Kachka. Read more 👉 http://surl.li/hpffcb

⛴️ Demurrage vs. Despatch: Simplified! ⏳ 1️⃣ What is Demurrage? A penalty for exceeding the agreed port laytime, compensating shipowners for delays. 2️⃣ How is it Calculated? Laytime: 5 days Actual Time: 7 days Rate: $10,000/day Penalty: 2 x $10,000 = $20,000 3️⃣ What is Despatch? An incentive for saving time, rewarding charterers for efficient operations. 4️⃣ How is it Calculated? Laytime: 5 days Actual Time: 3 days Rate: $5,000/day (half of demurrage) Incentive: 2 x $5,000 = $10,000 5️⃣ Why it Matters: Demurrage ensures compensation for delays. Despatch motivates quicker operations. 6️⃣ Key Document: Terms are outlined in the charterparty to avoid disputes. 📉 Suez Canal Revenue Plummets by 60% as CO₂ Emissions Skyrocket by 41 Million Tons The Suez Canal, a key revenue stream for Egypt, suffered a $7 billion loss this year due to shipping attacks in the Red Sea, reducing its income by 60%. With the canal generating 15% of Egypt's foreign currency, this poses a significant economic challenge. 🚢 Many vessels have rerouted around the Cape of Good Hope, adding 7,500 km to their voyages, increasing costs, and emitting 41 million tons of CO₂ annually—surpassing the entire CO₂ footprint of Portugal. 🌍 A stark reminder of the ripple effects of maritime security risks. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the government to develop a long-term program to support the Syrian people together with international partners. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval said this during a telethon. The minister noted that Syria needs absolutely all food products, as 13 years of grueling war have led to the country’s almost no self-production. At the same time, the country’s population is 24 million people. As reported earlier, in December 2024, Ukraine sent 21 trucks with 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria as part of the Grain from Ukraine program with the assistance of the UN World Food Program. It will be distributed to 33,250 families or 167,000 people. Each package weighs 15 kg and will help feed a family of five for a month. https://lnkd.in/dUNajiQN
