🌽 #EU remains the key export market for #Ukrainian #corn In 2024, Ukraine exported 14.06 mln tons of corn to the European Union. This is 1.2 mln tons less than in 2023. This was announced by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine. “But the EU is still our key corn market - 49.2% of all our exports go there. The same goes for wheat. We exported 7.3 mln tons in 2024, 0.9 mln less. But this is still 34% of our total wheat exports and many times more than we exported before the war (+- 1 mln tons),” he said. “The most telling figure is the reduction in #sunseed exports by 76%. Last year, we exported only 181 thsd tons of sunflower seeds to the EU. However, exports of #sunflower_oil grew by 13%. And with a value of $2.87 bln, this product is No. 1 in our exports to the EU.
