19 December 2024 Today marks a significant milestone for Indonesia’s digital transformation! Telin and Citra Connect officially commenced the construction of the Cable Landing Station (CLS) at Nongsa Digital Park, Batam. This state-of-the-art infrastructure will strengthen global connectivity through the Indonesia Cable Express (ICE) system, connecting Indonesia to major hubs worldwide. This strategic initiative enhances Batam’s role as a global gateway, supports economic growth, and positions Indonesia as a leader in the digital revolution. Together, we are paving the way for faster, more reliable communications, empowering businesses, and unlocking vast opportunities for the digital economy. In line with Indonesia’s "Indonesia Emas 2045" vision, the Secretariat General of the National Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Council hosted the SEZ Business Forum on 9 November 2024 at the St. Regis Hotel in Jakarta. The forum, themed "Diversifying SEZ Business Opportunities, KEK 2.0: The Dawn of a New Era," focused on expanding SEZ business opportunities. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, emphasized that SEZ development is key to achieving 8% economic growth. He highlighted that countries like China, Vietnam, and Thailand have led in SEZ development, and Indonesia is now focusing on enhancing productivity to catch up with its ASEAN peers. By 2023, Indonesia has 20 operational SEZs across sectors like manufacturing, digital, tourism, and services, with investments totaling IDR 177.5 trillion. During the event, we were honoured to receive a token of appreciation from the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, in recognition of our contributions. 11 December 2024 PT. PLN Batam and PT Taman Resor Internet (Tamarin) have signed an amended Power Purchase Agreement (PJBTL) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide renewable energy for data centers in the Nongsa Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The signing event was attended by PT PLN’s Corporate Planning and Business Development Director, Hartanto Wibowo, and executives from both companies. Through this agreement, PLN Batam will increase its connected power capacity from 389 MVA to 1,064 MVA, ensuring stable and green energy supply to support Nongsa’s growing data center needs. This collaboration is part of PLN Batam’s commitment to providing 825 MW of renewable energy by 2033, supporting Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission (NZE) goal by 2060. Muhammad Irwansyah Putra, CEO of PLN Batam, stated, “Batam has immense potential to become a key data center hub in Southeast Asia, and this collaboration will drive digital transformation across industries". Nongsa Digital Park’s CEO, Mike Wiluan, also welcomed the agreement, "noting its strategic importance in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing Indonesia's global competitiveness". Infinite Learning Indonesia mendapatkan penghargaan dari Bank Indonesia KPw Kepulauan Riau melalui Gurindam Award 2024 sebagai stakeholder kolaboratif yang mendukung edukasi Cinta, Bangga, dan Paham (CBP) Rupiah kepada pelajar dan mahasiswa/i. Penghargaan ini diterima langsung oleh CEO Infinite Learning, Bapak Mike Wiluan, pada 29 November 2024, sebagai apresiasi atas kontribusi kami dalam mempromosikan nilai Rupiah melalui inisiatif edukasi digital. Last week was an exciting and eventful one for Infinite Studios! From prestigious accolades to new projects and industry recognition, here’s a look at some of our key highlights: 1. Honored at the Asian Academy Creative Awards: We were thrilled to be nominated in four categories, including Best Drama Series, Best Original Production by a Streamer (Fiction), Best Direction (Fiction) and Best Cinematography (Fiction). Thank you AACA for a memorable evening celebrating the art of storytelling and creativity! 2. Losmen Melati 2 Announcement: At the ATF Market during IMDA’s Singapore Hour at SG Pavilion, we shared the exciting news, alongside our partner Catchplay, that we’re working on the sequel to Losmen Melati. Production is set to begin early next year! 3. Co-Producing Emerald Butterfly: We’re proud to announce our involvement in Dutch director Martin Koolhoven’s Emerald Butterfly, following the signing of a co-production treaty between the Netherlands and Indonesia at the JAFF Market in Yogyakarta. Filming begins in 2025, with sets built at our Batam facilities. 4. Virtual Production: IMDA’s latest initiatives highlight the rapid growth of virtual production in Singapore and we are proud to be recognized as one of the three full-scale virtual production studios supporting international projects and training. 5. Orang Ikan at SGIFF: Orang Ikan made its SEA premiere at the 35th Singapore International Film Festival 2024, following its world premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival in October and its screening at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival (Italy) in November.

Nongsa Special Economic Zone (SEZ) welcomes BW DIGITAL as a JV partner in CitraConnect, a company we set up a few years ago to build our state of the art Local Access Network in our SEZ. Soon Nongsa Digital Park will receive submarine fibre optic cables DIRECTLY within the SEZ perimeter, making our DC Hub a unique proposition in the region with regards to connectivity 😎. Therefore, I am confident that the partnership with BW Digital will allow CitraConnect to efficiently serve the needs of submarine fibre optic cable operators and also at the same time expand the range of services for the DCs in our SEZ. 🙇♂️ Thanks to our team and the BW Digital one, it has been a pleasure to work with you all the past few months, at an incredible pace, to arrive today at this positive conclusion.
