From Fossil to Forest: discover this Project with CeNTI’s know-how! The FF2F Innovation Pact, focused on environmental sustainability and the transition to greener solutions, promotes the replacement of fossil-based plastic products with forest-based alternatives. What is the Centre's contribution? To collaborate, through Research and Development activities, in creating barrier papers, cellulose-based biocomposites and sensors for smart packaging. This Project is crucial for meeting the goals of the European Green Deal, helping to tackle climate change, protect the environment and promote a fairer economy. Modernising and transforming the primary sector through the bioeconomy?  Yes, it's possible with PRIMED Project! This European Project has CeNTI's know-how and aims to strengthen the rural economy by generating more jobs, developing added-value products and innovative forms of cooperation that integrate primary producers into new bioeconomy value chains.  In this sense, the Project intends to stimulate the creation of circular business models in the bioeconomy to produce high-value bio-based products through advanced biorefineries. The replication of these business models will be demonstrated in various Living Laboratories (LLab), particularly the LLab2 Bio-silica lab in Portugal, located at CeNTI.
