In my experience, the best way to engage students is to find out what they are interested in and create pathways that connect them from school to the real world. Technology, project or problem-based learning, and field experiences are ideal to engage learners of all backgrounds and ages. Hands-on, collaborative, and interactive curriculum guides students to be involved and engaged in all aspects of the learning process.

I believe that engagement requires the teacher / facilitator to make the content relevant and relatable to students. It's also important to present content and learning opportunities in a fashion that caters to multiple learning styles.
