  • Gabija Stankevičiūtė, our Administration Officer, has been a vital part of the team for the past two years, ensuring that everything runs as seamlessly as a well-tended garden. From managing facilities to handling procurement and fostering stakeholder collaboration, she keeps our operations thriving with efficiency and care. 🌱 Her journey to Yara marked a significant turning point. Leaving behind her French philology studies, Gabija embraced a full-time role that offered her both growth and new challenges. Reflecting on this shift, she says, “The culture really stood out to me during the interview, and I’m glad I made the leap. What I value most is the supportive environment, along with its focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and health and safety.” Nurtured by positive feedback and her strong sense of accountability, Gabija has blossomed both personally and professionally during her time here. She shares, “Yara has taught me to be more resilient, focused, and goal-oriented. Working with a variety of people has helped me become more diplomatic and improved my communication skills.” 🌸 Her advice for newcomers? “Don’t shy away from work. • In Lithuania, around 70% of working-age individuals with disabilities are not employed—a statistic that highlights not only a gap in the labor market but also a broader societal challenge. This figure points to systemic barriers such as inaccessible workplaces, limited opportunities for skills development, and prevailing biases that hinder the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce. That is why we launched our first 6-week internship program in partnership with the SOPA, designed to create meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We are excited to share the first impressions from our talented interns.

  • 📢 Join us for “(In)Visible: A Day of Inclusion,” a conference we’re excited to host together with Delfi Lietuva! This event will bring important conversations about the inclusion of people with disabilities, not just in the workplace, but across society—focusing on the challenges and the positive impact of inclusivity. “(In)Visible” is dedicated to breaking down stereotypes, promoting accessible environments, and equipping us with tools for respectful and empowering communication. Through this event, we aim to shift attitudes, build awareness, and encourage action in building workplaces and communities where everyone can thrive. 💡 Hear from Yara, government and public sector leaders, corporate partners, disability advocates, and voices from sports and the arts, all sharing their valuable insights on inclusion. 📅 When: November 14th, 10:00 to 14:30 👉 Read more: https://ow.ly/PmKm50U48El This is more than a conversation; it’s a call to action for a more equitable and accessible future. Be part of the change!

  • We believe that even the smallest shifts can cultivate meaningful growth. Recently, one of our colleagues, Ingrida Jouffrin, planted the seed of a brilliant idea—introducing stretching sessions that our employees can embrace, whether in the office or from home, helping to nurture their well-being and enhance productivity. 🌱 “In the hustle of our busy days, it’s easy to overlook the importance of stepping away from our desks. But here’s the truth: taking a moment to stand up, stretch, and breathe can recharge our minds and bodies. These little breaks not only boost our mood but also improve our creativity and focus,” says Ingrida. Even though these sessions are only 15 minutes, consistency is key. By making time for these breaks, we can cultivate healthier habits that positively impact our everyday lives. 🌻 We’re excited to see how these small yet impactful changes can enhance our well-being at work. It’s not just about the stretches; it’s about embracing a culture that values health and encourages us to take those essential moments to recharge. ✨

  • With the number of individuals aged 65-74 increasing every year, we’re seeing a shift toward longer careers and more age-diverse workplaces. This is a societal achievement —thanks to advances in healthcare and quality of life. Yet, myths and biases around aging can sometimes lead us to overlook the unique strengths and contributions that older employees bring. Recently, we hosted an event dedicated to exploring the benefits of age diversity in the workplace. Our guest speaker, Dr. Bernadeta Goštautaitė, debunked common myths about aging, sharing research-backed insights on the positive impact of employees in later stages of their careers. 🤝🏼 The key takeaway is that these team members bring emotional stability, loyalty, and a wealth of experience that enhances team dynamics. While they may appreciate tailored learning opportunities, they are highly motivated, dedicated, and ready to grow and adapt. 🚀 In a lively panel discussion with Yara employees, panelists shared real-world examples of how age-diverse teams drive innovation and foster an inclusive workplace culture. Addressing ageism is about truly seeing the value each generation brings to the table. When we embrace diverse perspectives, we build stronger, more inclusive workplaces that benefit everyone. 🌿

  • We are proud of our colleagues for participating in an inspiring event in collaboration with SOPA to support individuals with disabilities in their job search. Through mock interviews, our team offered guidance and shared their expertise, helping participants build confidence and essential job-seeking skills. This initiative not only equipped job seekers but also gave our hiring managers valuable insights into creating a more inclusive recruitment process. “We covered important topics, including openness between hiring manager and candidate, as well as discussing common strengths and typical interview questions. I genuinely believe this experience was highly beneficial for both sides”, reflected Monika Sadauskienė, EBS Operational Planning Director. A huge thanks to our DEI committee for driving these efforts forward. Inclusion is at the heart of what we do, and we are excited to continue fostering opportunities for everyone. 🙌
