Da li ste čuli za Language coaching? Prvi susret sa tom metodologijom predavanja i učenja jezika Nevena Mićović imala je na trećoj godini studija kada je na razmeni studenata na Alpen Adria Univerzitetu u Austriji posetila jednu školu koja je coaching elemente i alate stavljala u kontekst učenja jezika. Po povratku u Srbiju, želela je da primeni slično, medjutim ni nakon sticanja master diplome na Filološkom fakultetu u Beogradu (smer Anglistika) nije joj bilo jasno kako to da uradi. Zaposlila se u školi jezika koja je u tom trenutku saradjivala sa brojnim firmama u Beogradu i počela da stiče iskustvo. Srela je mnogo ljudi na bitnim položajima koji su engleski znali malo, ali ne dovoljno, koji su imali blokade i strah da govore ne tom jeziku, a savršeno dobro su razumeli ono što drugi kažu, i to samo iz razloga što se od njih OČEKIVALO da savršeno vode sastanak, prezentuju proizvod na engleskom jeziku, upoznaju klijente iz celog sveta. Njima nisu pomagali klasični kursevi, gde za 40 časova treba da predju sva vremena i vokabular 'predvidjen' za taj nivo. Oni su pravila i reči znali. Njihovi rezultati na testu su bili sasvim dobri ALI oni su i dalje osećali isti onaj strah i manjak samopouzdanja kada treba da progovore na engleskom jeziku. Shvativši da standardni Business English kursevi ne pomažu, to je bio znak. Nevena je odlučila da se seritifikuje za Coaching u kontekstu učenju jezika. Language coaching podrazumeva rad na svim onim unutrašnjim elementima koji polaznike koče prilikom učenja jezika, a da oni toga nisu ni svesni. Na coaching konsultacijama radi se na postavljanju ciljeva, razbijanju blokada, dizanju samopouzdanja i menjaju uverenja i sve to u kontekstu učenja jezika. Ovo je potpuno inovativan pristup u nastavi engleskog jezika. Jeste li probali nešto slično?

It was founded in August 2021 by Nevena Mićović, an ESL teacher and certified English language coach. During her studies Nevena had the chance to travel, study and volunteer in Italy, Austria (Alpen Adria University) and the Czech Republic. She came back to Serbia with a lot of ideas, willing to make changes in the educational system and teaching approach here. Upon gaining her MA degree (English Language and Literature) at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade she started working as a teacher. Holding Business English courses in big companies (Strabag, Delta Agrar, Bambi, Mercator, Carlsberg...) enabled her to see what it is that business people need when it comes to learning a language. Five years later she got certified in Language coaching and founded her Language coaching center- My Language Avenue. She also created two products based on the needs of her corporate clients and she actively uses them in her work (My Language Notebook & My Language Journal). Today, she uses coaching methods and 8 years of experience of working with corporate clients to help business professionals with self-development and public speaking, her products to help them with organization and her teaching skills to help them with language structures. The clients we worked with in the previous year come from: Delhaize, Nelt, JUB, Tenderly, Olympic Committee of Serbia, L'oreal, Lenovo, KPMG, BMW Munich, Ernst & Young, A1 Serbia.
