About us
Research work of the Center of Excellence for Innovations in Breeding of Climate Resilient Crops ``Climate Crops`` is aimed at creating new genotypes of field crops tolerant to stress caused by climate change. The new approaches and solutions developed at the Center will serve as a model for developing similar approaches to other cultivated plant species, as well as production systems that are or are expected to be affected by climate change. https://www.researchgate.net/project/Climate-Crops

Master and doctoral students, as well as young PhDs gathered at 22nd young researchers conference – materials science in Belgrade 4-6. December. They presented results of their research at the conference dedicated to advanced materials and technologies. Our team members coauthored paper "Attractiveness of wild Helianthus species inflorescences in drought conditions" that was presented by Milica Aleksić. The research aimed to assess how drought influenced wild sunflower development and mechanisms of adaptation. They inspected morphological parameters of fruit, the percentage of dry matter in tubular and ray flowers, and the quality of the nectar in 7 different wild sunflower species.
