This Monday, Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca celebrated its 119th anniversary with the 2024 awards ceremony, honouring individuals and businesses that have tirelessly contributed to quality tourism and upheld the image of Mallorca. Among the honourees, our founder and president, Miguel Amengual Cifre, was awarded the Gold Medal for his remarkable career in Mallorcan hospitality and his unwavering pursuit of excellence. This prestigious recognition strengthens our commitment to delivering quality, responsible tourism that reflects the values of our destination. We also extend our congratulations to Joan Bauzá Barceló (posthumously) and Felipe Navío Berzosa, who were also awarded, and to all the recognised organisations and individuals, including Hotel Cala Bona and Golf de Son Vida, for their invaluable contributions to the sector.
