HBX Group are proud to share that at the Travel South USA International Showcase event held in Atlanta, Georgia at the start of December, HBX Group were announced winners of the Travel South Ambassador 2024 Award. This is the third year running that we have been honoured with the achievement, that recognises organisations working in partnership with southern states and local communities. Liz Bittner, President & CEO Travel South USA, said that “HBX Group has been an incredible partner and important strategic channel in the American South for the past four years. Their mission to invest in technology, strong marketing and connectivity in the B2B space has paid off extremely well for the destinations in the Travel South Region. Our teams, state tourism offices and DMO city partners have executed very successful targeted marketing campaigns along with focused sourcing that continues to deliver millions of room nights across the southern USA.' HBX Group's Director Strategic Marketing Solutions, Joseph Sheller also shared his comments on the partnership, "Our partnership with Travel South has been a great success story, over the last 5 years we have grown our co-op campaign participation by over 250%. Liz and the Travel South USA team understand the importance of engaging and educating the travel trade, leading to incremental increases of high value tourism. The most recent campaign we completed, targeted four strategic source markets and produced a 32% YOY increase in bookings for participating cities and states. At HBX Group, we believe in creating a sustainable future by transforming tourism into a force for good and contributing to the economic and social development of communities worldwide. Outlined in our Sustainability Report earlier this year was one of our key ESG initiatives, our Think Big project that aims to empower rural communities to create sustainable micro-destinations while preserving their cultural and natural heritage. Back in January, we launched the pilot project in Quintana Roo, Mexico, where a team of HBX Group volunteers worked with Mayan cooperatives to enhance tourism products, improve digitalisation, and implement sustainability criteria. We are delighted to share the success of the second edition of Think Big, where alongside our Head of ESG, Carlota Galván Bisbal, 11 HBX Group volunteers returned to Quintana Roo recently to continue this meaningful work. Collaborating with the local NGO, Amigos de Sian Ka'an, they built upon the foundation laid by the first group, performing hands-on tasks to improve the infrastructure and resources of key locations across the region. Here are some highlights from the second trip shared by the team: Punta Allen 🎣 Located in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, this fishing community is a hub for sustainable lobster fishing and ecotourism. Our team renovated a local restaurant, painted ethical signage, taught English phrases to boat captains, and completed a beach clean-up, collecting 380kg of rubbish in just 1.5 hours! Tihosuco 🏛️ This historic village, known for its colonial architecture and cultural significance, welcomed our volunteers as they worked with U'Belilek organisation. Tasks included painting, repairing, and creating signage to enhance the community's tourism infrastructure. Kichpam Ka'ax Ecotourism Centre 🌿 Located in the Mayan jungle, this centre showcases the sustainable living and cultural identity of the Mayan community. Volunteers created new signage, sanded and varnished furniture, restored outdoor facilities, and brought new life to existing artwork. All volunteers shared that it was an incredibly impactful experience, providing firsthand insights into sustainable tourism and the power of community collaboration. We are proud to work alongside these incredible communities and partners to make a difference. #ThinkBig #HBXGroup

What an amazing experience and opportunity to be in Bangkok last week, as The HPO Partnership Ltd continues to deploy the ‘Coaching For Capability’ Programme to HBX Group front-line leaders. We were so impressed with the energy of the group from the start and right across the three days, and yet again the engagement, fun and growth mindset in the room was superb. It so rewarding when you can see leaders wanting to learn and grow whilst having a passion to develop a coaching culture. Thank you to everyone in Bangkok last week for the warm welcome and stepping out of your comfort zone. Looking forward to being back there in the coming months for the next deployment.
