Connecting 56 dance development organisations from 28 European countries for a sustainable sector of contemporary dance.

Sobre nosotros

EDN is a network of dance development organisations in Europe, cooperating for a sustainable, progressive, and equitable field of contemporary dance. The network serves as a hub, a mediator and an international connector. It supports the sector’s professional development and raises awareness about the relevance of dance in societies today. As an EU-funded network for dance, EDN represents the sector and advocates on its behalf to inform policy work and public development programmes.

  • While the 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 gather their wits to respond to 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀, proceed with 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, engage in 𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, and build 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 through dance... And before we 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄, announce more open calls to respond to, more opportunities not to miss, and more urgent requests for support... Let's 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵 our lungs, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 with our embraces, and 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 the soft parts of our bodies to take a break 𝗮𝗻𝗱 keep in touch. Warm wishes for happy endings and new beginnings 💫 the EDN team drawings by #ToscaMitkowska - EDN Atelier: "The Body of Skill and Opportunity: Equity Through Embodied Practices"

  • EDN stands in support of internationale tanzmesse nrw the largest international platform for contemporary dance. We urge policymakers to recognise that Tanzmesse connects dance artists, curators, and audiences globally and that we need to take action now to ensure the fair's survival for the benefit of the entire sector. ✏️ Send your statement of support to demonstrate to the funding bodies why Tanzmesse is essential for international relations and its continuation is vital 📌 8 January 2025 📩 info@tanzmesse.com 📎 https://lnkd.in/djjytWsj

  • 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝘀. 𝗜𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲. Freedom of artistic expression is a fundamental human right protected under the European Charter of Human Rights and the Treaty of the European Union. Cultural spaces are vital defenders of democracy and pluralism. Safeguarding them is essential for protecting humanistic values. EDN stands with fellow cultural networks against political interference in the work of cultural organisations across Europe. We condemn the rising trend of censorship and intimidation targeting the cultural sector amid the rise of far-right movements. 📎 https://lnkd.in/dkbNF-zS #freetocreate
