Exciting news for AI and public sector innovation! Gianluca Misuraca, First Executive Director of the Master on Artificial Intelligence in Public Services (AI4Gov_EU), co-led by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Politecnico di Milano, will be speaking at the AI and Public Policy International Conference in Singapore on November 15. Gianluca will explore the crucial theme, "𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙄 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧: 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛, 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝘼𝙄" diving into the dynamic role AI plays in transforming governance structures and public services. 𝐀𝐈𝟒𝐆𝐨𝐯 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐀 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐝! Last October 25th and 26th, AI4Gov students gathered in Madrid for an enriching in-person event, connecting current students, alumni, and professors to foster a collaborative AI learning network. Over two days, participants strengthened their technical skills, explored innovative AI applications in the public sector, and celebrated the accomplishments of the 2023-24 cohort. Event Highlights: Hands-On Workshops: From Python and Pandas basics to advanced applications, students gained confidence in essential data skills. Walkshop and Exchange: Unique, outdoor sessions encouraged creative problem-solving and meaningful discussions on strategic AI implementations in government. Insightful Alumni Dialogues: Graduates shared their career experiences, offering inspiration and guidance to current students. Geopolitics & AI Foresight: A session led by Claudio Feijóo explored AI’s transformative role in global policy. Graduation Ceremony: Celebrating the achievements of AI4Gov's latest cohort! This pioneering initiative marks the first time such a platform is being implemented in Latin America, and it’s set to transform how public institutions across the region can use AI to enhance decision-making. The project aims to turn Mendoza into a hub for AI-driven solutions, bringing together academic, public, and private sectors to foster digital transformation and sustainable growth. This collaborative effort is a huge leap towards building smarter, more efficient governance.
