👋We would like to say goodbye to the year thanking our members and collaborators for the great milestones we have achieved thanks to our shared effort. Some of these achievements and highlights of the year are the appointment in July of @Cayetano Carbajo as President of 5TONIC, whose extensive experience will bring enormous added value to our work🌐; we also received in our laboratory the Spanish Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Secretary General of Telecommunications 🏛️, we participated in key projects of the European SNS JU program and we closed new collaborations with WINGS ICT Solutions and E-lighthouse Network Solutions (ELIG) for 6G-XR projects 🤝, among many others. 💫 Thank you all for making this 2024 an unforgettable year! Last Wednesday, we received in our lab representatives from Ayuntamiento de Madrid, who had the opportunity to experience at first-hand the importance of an open global environment, where members of the industry and academia can collaborate in the development of #5G/#6G technologies. 📡 Among the demos presented, we highlight the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid' demo. An innovative demonstration of digital twins with integrated 6G sensing and robotic control capabilities were performed 🤖. On the other hand, Ericsson's demo presented the first phase of the TrialsNet project, one of the European projects within the EC SNS, which not only advances the network speed and applications, but also aims to reduce #CarbonEmissions🌱🌍. Finally, with Capgemini Engineering's demo as a finishing touch, showcased its #IoTsolution using #EdgeComputing and machine learning for anomaly detection in the operation of devices in open environments🌐⚙️. We deeply appreciate the trust and time dedicated by the Madrid City Council. We are confident that together we can continue working to develop technologies that will continue to benefit society. 🤝

🚀 5TONIC has signed a partnership agreement with WINGS ICT Solutions, an SME specialized in end-to-end digital solutions, and E-lighthouse Network Solutions (ELIG), SME expert in network analysis, optimization and dimensioning. 🤝 With these new collaborations, we reinforce the support, together with 5TONIC’s members such as Telefónica, Capgemini Engineering, InterDigital, Inc. and Ericsson and the collaborators Nokia and Intel Corporation in the development of test projects granted in the II Open Call of the #6GXRproject, offering our cutting-edge facilities to test and develop these projects that will help strengthen European leadership in #6G technologies. Following the launch of #5GCloudCore, the advanced cloud-based core network for mobile browsing and telephony, strengthens the digital interconnection of consumers and businesses. 🤔Some of the key advantages that the implementation of this technology is generating in communications are; the increase in the pace of innovation, allowing customers to access new services immediately; uninterrupted services in case of server failures or repairs; the reduction and optimization of resources, adjusting as needed to ensure sufficient and continuous capacity, and many more. 🌟 Since the opening of our lab in 2015, thanks to our founders Telefónica and IMDEA Networks Institute, our goal has been to foster the development of projects, discussion forums and events that accelerate the evolution of #5Gtechnologies. 🚀 Today, we have the collaboration of large companies, SMEs and leading institutions such as ABB, Nokia and Telcaria Ideas SL, among others. 🤝 The lab is in constant interaction with vertical industries looking to participate in joint projects or activities related to 5G.
