When clients seem disengaged, asking the right questions can reignite their motivation and foster meaningful conversations. Start with open-ended inquiries like "How do you see this impacting your goals?" or "What would success look like for you?" These encourage thoughtful responses and empower clients to share their perspective. Avoid leading questions that impose your viewpoint, and instead, focus on understanding their needs. Follow up with curiosity: "Can you elaborate on that?" or "What inspired that approach?" Genuine interest builds trust and keeps the dialogue dynamic. How do you use questions to connect with clients? Let’s exchange ideas for creating impactful conversations!

There are few ways, you can bring back the interest. 1. Make sure you have an agenda to start with- follow the agenda and move forward on topics one by one. 2. You need to read the room, before asking question, explain what is the expected outcome of the meeting. 3. Then ask, some open ended question, this seems to be the issue and provide potential solution, ask them which one they prefer or which one they want first to be implemented. 4. Ask the timeline or their vision or their main pain point. 5. Bring humor, if situation allows for it. 6. If you have not spend time knowing the client in the beginning, make sure you do and connect at personal level before ending the meeting. Cheers !

Engaging a disengaged client starts with asking the right questions. I use open-ended inquiries that begin with "how" or "what" to invite deeper reflection and meaningful dialogue. Avoiding leading questions ensures the focus remains on their perspective, not mine. I also make it a point to follow up for clarification, showing genuine curiosity and validating their experiences. This approach fosters trust and encourages clients to explore their own motivations. Questions are powerful tools for connection and insight—how do you use them to re-engage clients? Let’s discuss and learn together!

Avoiding leading questions ensures the focus remains on their insights, not my assumptions. I also follow up with clarifying questions to demonstrate genuine interest and encourage further reflection.
