🛰 New opportunity for Zero Debris technologies suppliers!
European Space Agency - ESA is developing satellites in alignment with the Zero Debris approach, together with Airbus Defence and Space, OHB SE and Thales Alenia Space, committed to deliver on the promise of Zero Debris by 2030.
To ensure compliant satellites can be designed and built in time, European Space Agency - ESA is supporting industry during this transition.
Phase 1️⃣, targeting System Requirements Review (SRR) -level, of “Large LEO Spacecraft Platforms Evolution for Zero Debris Policy Implementation” activity has already started and the next step is suppliers' consultation to consolidate the Zero Debris Platforms roadmap.
Phase 2️⃣, targeting Preliminary Design Review (PDR) -level, will follow in 2026 with suppliers on-board to reach TRL 6 for all Zero Debris building blocks.
To kick off the supplier consultation, and foster collaboration, ESA is proposing a Zero Debris workshop for the Large System Integrators and suppliers in January 2025.
📅 SAVE THE DATE
- 21 January 2025 9-12h (CET): Brief online presentations by each integrator and supplier to outline the integrator's current needs and the suppliers' latest technologies.
- 22 January 2025 14-18h (CET): Bilateral online meetings between integrators and suppliers, based on prior registration and selection, to discuss potential collaborations in more detail.
