🎥 [#Interview] | As Investment Week celebrates the Women in Investment Awards 2024, Katrina Lloyd discussed with Fannie Wurtz, Head of Distribution & Wealth Division and Passive Business Line the key trends shaping the future of investments: #Retirement Challenges: With the global population aging, the number of people aged 60+ is set to double from 1 billion today to nearly 2 billion by 2050. In many markets, that higher life expectancy is putting tension on the retirement provisions, leading to a rise in private and individual pension schemes and new long-term savings opportunities. #Wealth Transfer: Global wealth is growing rapidly, faster in Asia than in any area of the world and there is a generation wealth transfer as baby boomers pass down an estimated €70 trillion to the next generation. This transition presents both challenges and opportunities for the wealth management industry. #Digitalization: Investors today expect personalized approaches to savings. The digital wealth segment is growing 2-3x faster than traditional retail investing. As Fannie highlights, digitalization represents a major opportunity for the industry. Fannie also explains her personal commitment to diversity initiatives at Amundi and how the asset manager has a responsibility to help drive change across the sector and for female investors.
