Previously, VAM® 21 was qualified at this temperature for the most common production casing sizes, including 9 5/8", 10 3/4", and 13 3/8". This recent test on the 7" size marks a significant milestone, demonstrating that the VAM® 21 design is also suitable for high-temperature geothermal applications on smaller sizes, which are essential for lower flow wells or closed-loop wells. Vallourec to sell Düsseldorf-Rath site (Germany) for €155 million The group announces today that it has entered into an agreement to sell the substantial majority of its Düsseldorf-Rath production site to CTP, Europe’s largest publicly-listed industrial property developer. This transaction involves the sale of the approximately 900,000 m2 property for €155 million. This property was the site of Vallourec’s primary tube production operations in Germany, which was closed at the end of 2023 as part of the New Vallourec plan. Building on its technology validation for temperatures up to 350°C (662°F), Vallourec has now evaluated L80 materials at temperatures up to 500°C (932°F). This research offers groundbreaking insights into material behavior under extreme conditions, ensuring long-term well integrity.
