🚀 From HP 5210 to Space! 🚀 We are proud to announce that HP's cutting-edge 3D Printing technology is at the heart of a groundbreaking collaboration between Centre National d'Études Spatiales, Spartan Space, and MEDES - Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology. Together, they have developed the very first European intra-vehicular suit, designed for critical mission phases. This suit can be put on in less than a minute, a remarkable achievement in ergonomic design. This project is made possible by the dedicated teams at DECATHLON, including Advanced Design, Apparel Lab, Gloves, Seamless, Optics, Footwear, and ADDLAB - 3D printing. The goal was to maintain the essential technical functionalities of an IVA suit while infusing it with a distinctive European visual identity, fostering pride in European space expertise. The HP Jet Fusion 5210 3D Printer has enabled Decathlon to 3D print prototypes of the helmet, custom-design shoulder and back protective pads, and develop specialized shoes. Using the HP 3D Printing technology, Decathlon benefited from: 🎨 Personalization: Custom interior foams for astronaut helmets and suits, providing unparalleled comfort tailored to each astronaut's unique morphology. 🛠️ Design Freedom: Complex structures with endless possibilities for design and performance, allowing them to control rebound, weight, and feel while maintaining the same raw material. ⚡ Fast Prototyping: Rapid prototyping of numerous iterations to find the most suitable solutions in a short time, testing various applications for comfort, shock absorption, and fitting. Come by HP's booth (Hall 12.1, Booth D41) at Formnext - Where ideas take shape to see this innovative leap in space technology! #HP3DPrinting #Formnext2024 #additivemanufacturing #3dprinting
