Looking forward to another day catching up with customers at day two of our NRoSO training at Ledbury RFC. With the Frontier Agriculture Close Transfer System, and the Sencrop weather stations, there is plenty to discuss over coffee and a minced pie.

I'm super proud to share the remarkable work of Aurelien C., researcher at Sencrop. Accurate and local rainfall data is crucial for effective decision-making in agriculture. Two primary measurement techniques coexist: remote sensing, and in-situ rain gauges. Choosing between both has always been a challenging trade-off: the density of precipitation radar data VS the accuracy of rain gauges from a necessarily sparse network. For a long time, we've aimed to combine these 2 data sources to provide dense but accurate-enough data, unlocking new possibilities and use-cases. This achievement is the result of a long and challenging journey—spanning data engineering, data quality management, analysis, and the design and evaluation of deep-learning models. It took several years of dedicated work from both our engineering and science teams to bring this vision to life. It's truly exciting to witness how weather data processing is evolving these days.
