🎉 Today, we saved hundreds of innocent wafers ! 🎉 You know that moment when everything seems to be going perfectly fine until... BAM! An unexpected problem arises? Well, that's exactly what happened at one of our customers' sites 🛠️ We had just installed our FOUP and FOSB cleaning system, the VFC301 from ISTE. Everything was going smoothly until our customer's AMHS system decided to play troublemaker by sending FOUPs filled with wafers into the equipment.🚨 Problem: Machine stucked and forced to make a manual intervention to remove the disruptive element, but rest assured, the wafers are fine! The VFC301 is equipped with a laser detector that prevents wafers from falling out of the FOUP during opening. 🧠 Our Reaction: We're not giving up! We pulled out our innovation toolbox and came up with a unique solution in record time and tailor-made for this situation: an integrated Torque scale on the Robot Armset ! Thanks to this, the equipment now detects whether or not the FOUP that has just arrived via the AMHS contains wafers, and if it does, no machine blockage! The internal robot takes the intruder directly to the exit and sends an alert to the control system without interrupting ongoing processes! 😎 Result: Our customer was able to continue operations smoothly, and their wafers remained safe and sound. 🙌 At Eumetrys, we love problems because we love solutions even more!
