Investors Inga G. Grieger from BMW i Ventures, Bertrand Van Leersum from Borski Fund and Kasia Piasecki from European Women in VC all agreed: There are too few women investors and there are too few women founders. But they confirmed this will change – the more women there are in both fields, the more there will be. At the INNOVEIT Conference on women entrepreneurship, they encouraged women to venture into both fields and shared advice. Happy reading! 😉

✨ Big ideas come to life when people connect! That happened during last year’s learning expedition in the Basque Country organised by EIT Manufacturing, where a new collaborative project was born. 🤝 Eric Pernot Ph. D., Director of Cluster Aquitaine Robotics, and Itziar Cabanes Axpe, Professor at Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, met during the expedition and did not hesitate to join forces after sharing insights on how to tackle critical agricultural challenges in Southwestern Europe. By integrating #robotics, #digitaltwins, and #AI, the project AGROBOTICS-DITWINS is set to launch in 2025, aiming to tackle the environmental impact of agricultural activities and the challenges of adopting advanced technologies among #SMEs. Learning expeditions have the power to drive transformative impact, but the true catalysts are the participants. These unique experiences offer them a wide range of valuable opportunities, such as: 🏭 Direct interactions with manufacturing companies and RTOs, with facility visits showcasing cutting-edge processes 💡 Knowledge exchange sessions with local experts, fostering cross-cultural learning and innovation 🌐 Networking opportunities to build meaningful connections with key stakeholders 🗞️ Keep reading to discover how you can get involved in the EIT Manufacturing community: https://lnkd.in/eNVUkmi2 Antoni Pijoan Gala Maturana Jérémie D. Can diversity save manufacturing’s future? As the manufacturing industry faces complex challenges ahead, could diversity hold the key to unlocking the innovation needed to thrive? 📊 Research shows that diverse teams lead to better decision-making and stronger revenue growth. Yet, the sector continues to struggle with attracting talent—especially from underrepresented groups. Why? Despite its critical role in the economy, manufacturing is still seen as outdated. 💡 To build a more resilient industry, it’s time to rethink how we approach talent. It's not just about filling jobs—it’s about reimagining how a diverse workforce can drive the transformation our sector desperately needs. 🔗 Check out our discussion at the European Manufacturing Conference 2024 for more insights. #Diversity #Innovation #Manufacturing #FutureOfWork #Resilience #Talent #empoweringwomen #womeninmanufacturing Cherika Hardjakusumah, Dr. Monika Bachofner, CRISTINA OYON, Antoni Pijoan, Johan Stahre, Thelma Annweiler, Hanna Lund, Agne Kudarauskiene Ph.D., Sophie Norman, Irina Ilieva @Kristiana Taneva Stancheva @Aleksandra Nikolaeva Vasileva
