Airbus announces that Carmen-Maja Rex will join the Company as Chief Human Resources Officer, starting 1 April 2025. She brings extensive #HR expertise from leadership roles at Heidelberg Materials, Accenture, the United Nations, and Siemens. As a future member of the Airbus Executive Committee, Carmen-Maja will play a pivotal role in shaping a diverse, global, and engaged #TeamAirbus to achieve our ambitious objectives. As we look forward to welcoming Carmen-Maja on board, we address a big « merci » to Thierry BARIL for his remarkable contributions during his 22-year career with Airbus, including 12 years as CHRO, where he played a key role to enable Airbus’ transformation and success. For Clara, a data scientist in #Performance and #Sustainability, it started with a passion for aerospace and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. Roberto Guerra Alvarez’s journey at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe is a testament to what happens when we choose #inclusion. In 2023, Roberto’s department moved from Getafe to Lisbon. However, staying in Getafe was important for him as he has Down syndrome, established routines, and a local support system are key. Through teamwork, careful planning, and support of colleagues and the Down Madrid Foundation, he has become an essential part of the team. His story reminds us that inclusion creates opportunities—not just for individuals, but for entire teams and organisations.
