Unrealistic deadlines come from an incompetent planner. Its'either me or my client. First thing to do is to find if it's me. Why am I saying its unrealistic? Simply because the task is outside the normal way of my biological clock or outside my comfort zone are no reason to term them as unrealistic? Am I someone who's well within the standards of the profession?An inward look is always helpful. It's a case of improving our own game and see if we need to up skill ourselves. No its not a situation of cutting corners and doing work that's below par.Once we have done a thorough analysis of our micro factors and if we find we are fine in terms of delivery, the time then comes to pick the phone and communicate our fear to the client.
