Remote working doesn't necessarily mean that your team won't do the work productively. Instead, remote working can promote more productive working pattern. Boundary is the key. Setting the limit and build your healthy working habit. Set the time when you need to be responsible for the work and set the "off" time. The more balance you build, the better it'll be. Never sacrifices your off time for work and vice versa. Never let your team sacrifices their personal time for work. If any issue is happened, of course discussion is the key you can go through with them to find the best solution that work for the work and the personal. Because after all your health will contribute to high quality work and better individual means better team.

Provide mental health tools and virtual team-building exercises to develop a sense of community. Prioritize work-life balance in evaluating individual performance and allow time for breaks and days off at regular intervals. Create a working environment where colleagues respect and appreciate each other's differences.

Supporting work-life balance in a remote setup starts with setting clear "offline" hours so everyone knows when it’s okay to log off and unwind. Flexible schedules can help people manage their time better, and providing access to mental health resources or wellness programs is always a plus. Regular check-ins go a long way in making sure workloads are manageable and any issues are addressed early. It’s also important to encourage boundaries—work time is work time, and personal time should stay personal. A little recognition and the occasional virtual team hangout can keep everyone motivated and connected too.

You fire those complaining about work-life balance. In my teams the vision is larger than yourself; when there are challenges you either rise up to them or you’re out.

One thing I found that is very helpful is to empower the members of the team to take breaks and do atleast 1 hour of physical training (PT) during the work day. I learned this while working with USMC as technical leader. The commander required everyone to PT during work hours, productivity and morale was uplifted. What truly counts to me is not the number of hours a person clocks in, it is the quality of work. Difference makers can manage their own time. Let them alone and in the end their work will validate their productivity and reliability.
