Non-governmental organizations #NGOs play a vital role in supporting local communities, achieving #sustainable_development , and promoting social peace. They are distinguished by their ability to reach the most vulnerable groups, thanks to their extensive networks and partnerships. They can provide emergency relief, support long-term reconstruction and development, and contribute to peacebuilding through mediation efforts and community awareness. Over the past five years, #MIDMAR has developed a methodology to enhance the capacities of NGOs in the Syrian context, recognizing them as one of the most active community pillars in the third sector 🌿 We have developed an Organizational Capacity Assessment (#OCA) tool based on the top 8 specialized references, in addition to our 12 years of cumulative experience in the Syrian context. We have applied this tool to 30 Syrian organizations operating in Turkiye, Lebanon, Iraq, and Europe. The following images provide an overview of our approach to working with organizations.

We, at MIDMAR, are pleased to announce our membership in the Civil Society Organizations Platform, Ulfed Medya 💐 The platform is an independent, non-profit union that includes civil society organizations in Turkiye. Its aim is to enhance the harmony of organizations with the Turkish environment through communication processes, capacity building support, and the development of the legal environment. We hope to achieve integration in efforts and projects among organizations, ensuring the overall benefit of the community. #MIDMAR

We, at MIDMAR, have recently concluded our Project Management Professional #PMP training program based on the seventh edition in Idlib. This program aimed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge for effective project management, emphasizing: - A holistic management approach - Value delivery concepts - Continuous improvement - Leadership and communication skills - Flexibility and adaptability to diverse project environments The course also delved into rapid integration, combining principles and practices from various project management methodologies, among other practical concepts and applications. Over the course of 50 training hours, with continuous guidance and mentorship, we had the pleasure of working with 22 participants from diverse backgrounds and community organizations. We hope this program has a lasting, positive impact on the participants’ project management performance. Special thanks to our expert trainer, Imad Al-Nahlawi, for his dedication and skillful instruction. We look forward to offering this training in the future with enhanced values and innovative new tools. #MIDMAR

A comprehensive survey of community actors in northwest Syria was conducted by MIDMAR in partnership with The White Helmets and supported by AFNS. The goal was to map active community stakeholders in the third sector, highlight key areas for capacity building, and explore collaboration opportunities between civil society organizations and these stakeholders in sustainable development projects. We presented the results of our project in a workshop attended by over 70 local, international, and UN institutions. Yesterday, October 17th, MIDMAR and the Syrian Civil Defense The White Helmets held a workshop in Gaziantep to present the findings of the "Community Actors Survey in Northern Syria." Over 80 representatives from international and local organizations attended the event. During the workshop, we highlighted the survey results, research methodology, and the scientific approach that guided the efforts of our research team. The study itself was the culmination of extensive work by 121 field researchers and specialized technical committees focused on community engagement, scientific research, and information management. The event facilitated valuable discussions and constructive feedback from three main groups: donors, UN agencies, and local organizations involved in development, community empowerment, and humanitarian efforts. These exchanges added depth to the workshop's outcomes, which will soon be compiled into a detailed report and a community survey guide—the first of its kind in this context. Additionally, we will be releasing interactive databases grounded in scientific and methodological rigor. This workshop also marked the conclusion of a project initiated by the Syrian Civil Defense and MIDMAR, aimed at mapping key community actors in the third sector across northern Syria.
