Yesterday's meetup in Zagreb touched upon a few interesting topics. The speakers also reflected upon the development of the Croatian start-up ecosystem from 2012 to today. Having senior leaders with great experience from a time when Croatia wasn't part of the EU, an economic crisis still had its grips on the economy, and IT was a small bubble mentioned in the fringes of media, willing to share their experiences and support young generations is a great privilege. We're happy to see many positive developments in a decade or so. Today, a great number of new companies and leaders are willing to risk more and embrace failure, and we're witnessing a flow of positive energy and a more liberated spirit, among other things. Watch this space! Zagreb and Croatia are more than underdogs in the European tech space in 2024.
