🚢 On 28 November and 5 December, students from our Business Administration & Economics Department had the privilege to visit the Port of Thessaloniki and explore the history, activities and developments of ThPA S.A. - Port of Thessaloniki, delving into its pivotal role as the multi-gateway intermodal network and logistics solutions provider for the broader Southeast, Central and Eastern European region. The visit took place as part of the Principles of Management class led by Dr Giovanni Oscar Serafini. The session highlighted the port’s investments and business strategies, robust infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives, showcasing its profound impact on the regional economy and its seamless integration into complex supply chain networks. The MENTBEST programme on mental health was successfully introduced by Prof. Ana Vivas, who captivated the audience with her presentation during the Opening Ceremony of the Alliance for Mental Health at Thessaloniki City Hall. A subsequent panel discussion moderated Dr. Lina Gega, a Professor of Mental Health at the University of York, examined the obstacles and practical solutions for supporting the mental well-being of children and young people. Mr. Nikos Zaharis, Director of our research center, South-East European Research Centre (SEERC), also delivered an inspiring speech about the Alliance's vision, emphasising the importance of collaboration.
