It represents a space where there are no existing competitors or established norms, allowing for creative and groundbreaking solutions. Imagine a clear blue sky without any clouds—similarly, a blue sky opportunity is wide open and full of potential. In the context of Web3, it signifies areas where new technologies, decentralized platforms, and novel applications can thrive, unencumbered by traditional constraints. These opportunities often emerge when people envision possibilities beyond what currently exists, paving the way for transformative change. LightningWorks is just like Uber and Airbnb. There’s an obvious need for what we have built, and we solve a big problem, using new technology. However, it’s done in a way that no one is asking for, because it requies a change in consumer behavior. It’s a typical web3 problem in that way. When Airbnb first started, there was no existing market for people staying in other people's homes on vacation. Consumers weren’t asking for that. It was the same with Uber. People needed transportation, and there were cars sitting unused. But getting rides from private drivers? There was no market for that either. In both cases, the tech needed to be built first, tested repeatedly, iterated upon, and advertised so that customers could see how this new solution solves their problems with a better experience than hotels or taxis.
