About us

Companies must think quickly and remain relevant in this constantly changing environment. And to do that, you need real-world methods. With experience from beginning to end of the value chain, WIBTH seeks to assist its members and clients in creation of plans that are informed by practical know-how and ensure high level skill maintenance. In order to thrive in the current environment, companies will need to tap into their "adaptive gene" and come up with creative solutions. This kind of thinking, which we refer to as creative pragmatism, combines the daring energy of an innovator with the clear vision of a realist - seasoned industry experts. Our goal is to provide a strong foundation for women entrepreneurs. This will be accomplished through mentoring, company management, and advisory assistance. By working with institutions of higher learning and training, we can make sure that the hotel industry is staffed with enthusiastic professionals. Our VISION To be the greatest Tourism/Hospitality Consulting firm, delivering holistic training, development/mentorship, and business management by combining industry professionals' knowledge and skills with creative ideas from the next generation. The goal is to keep a support framework in place for women who own enterprises. Provide management assistance through business consulting, which will include company management and training. Women who are demonstrating exceptional potential and advancing industries' development and economic progress will be recognized at an award ceremony hosted by WIBTH annually.

Q1 Career Goals Check-In The first quarter of the year is almost behind us - where does that leave your 2024 career goals and objectives? As we approach the end of Q1, it's a great time to take stock of the professional resolutions and targets you set a few months ago. Whether your aims involved securing a promotion, landing a new role, upgrading your skills, or making headway on a major project, pausing to evaluate your progress so far is crucial. Ask yourself: • What key goals did I outline for Q1 and 2024 as a whole? • How much traction have I gained in pursuing those objectives over the last 3 months? • Where have I made satisfying strides, and which areas require more focus and effort? • Do any goals need to be adjusted or reprioritized based on changing circumstances? Don't beat yourself up if you've faced some hurdles or fallen slightly behind. The key is to objectively acknowledge where you stand, recalibrate if needed, and lean fully into the next quarter with renewed determination. Revisiting your career plans partway through the year allows you to celebrate wins, diagnose stumbling blocks, and steer yourself towards making 2024 as rewarding and successful as possible. How are your work goals for the year progressing so far? Share your reflections on Q1, lessons learned, and mindset for Q2 below! #careerplanning #careerdevelopment #women #leadership #talentdevelopment #youngprofessionals

As Women's History Month draws to a close, I wanted to reflect on the insights gained from the poll I ran about these annual events recognising women's invaluable contributions and the ongoing pursuit of gender equality. The results showed a range of perspectives, highlighting that there is still work to be done. A majority (50%) view Women's History Month and International Women's Day as important recognition of women - a testament to the impact of spotlighting women's remarkable achievements and raising awareness of gender inequities that persist. However, a significant portion (33%) felt more action is still required beyond these commemorative events to truly achieve equity and empowerment for women in all spheres. This reminds us that while we've made progress, obstacles and systemic barriers remain that must be addressed through concrete reforms and initiatives. A smaller but noteworthy 17% felt there is no need for these events anymore, as equity has been achieved. While this view is in the minority, it signals there is still work to do in promoting understanding of the realities women face and the unique challenges and biases that cannot be overlooked. No one opted for a neutral stance, underscoring that this is an issue people feel passionately about one way or another. I'm heartened that the poll catalyzed such robust discussion and differing viewpoints in my network. True inclusion requires respecting diverse perspectives while striving to create environments where women have an equal opportunity to thrive and lead on their own merits. Let's keep this momentum going year-round - celebrating the strides we've made while renewing our commitment to dismantle gender discrimination in all its forms. I welcome your continued insights as we #InspireInclusion, #WomenEmpoweringWomen, and work to ensure #WomenLeaders have every avenue to drive meaningful change. #IWD2024 #women #leadership

Being an introvert in today's corporate world can sometimes feel like swimming against the tide. While our natural tendencies for deep thinking and working behind the scenes are strengths, they can also inadvertently lead us to fade into the background and miss out on hard-earned visibility. As we focus on continuous learning this year, I came across an insightful article by executive coach Melody Wilding on how introverted professionals can boost their visibility without compromising their authentic selves. Wilding offers smart, actionable strategies like: • Speaking up early in meetings to get your voice heard • Framing suggestions confidently vs using self-deprecating language • Leveraging asynchronous communication to articulate thoughts thoroughly • Expressing gratitude to highlight achievements gracefully For those of us with more reserved styles, Wilding shows we don't have to become bombastic self-promoters. We can thoughtfully raise our profiles in ways that feel natural and impactful. As women aspiring to leadership roles where our contributions need to be recognized, these tips are so valuable. They remind us that being brilliant behind the scenes is great - but ensuring our brilliance doesn't go unnoticed is key to unlocking new opportunities. I encourage you to read Wilding's full article (link in the comments) and consider which strategies could help you shine while staying true to your strengths. Embracing effective self-advocacy is an essential part of continuous self-development. #inspireinclusion #women #womenempoweringwomen #leadershipdevelopment #introverts Check out our resources for your development https://lnkd.in/dzdn-KBJ
