  • Message from our CEO, Sharon Leong. 2024 has indeed seen an increase in the demand for travel. The biggest drawback however has been airline availability both domestically and internationally. For the typical South African traveller, these hurdles have posed a challenge due to costs of flights increasing considerably because of the lack of airline seat capacity. Airlines have aggressively looked to remedy the damage done through Covid and with ever increasing demand we don’t see this trend subsiding. Factors such as skills shortages and ongoing route adjustments remains lower than 2019 levels, the sustained surge in travel demand will however continue to directly affect pricing and while these certain drawback does affect you, the valued client, our commitment remains fervent as ever in always securing the best price. Our drive is always to ensure we provide the best end to end service products that will allow customers to continue to save in their pocket and most importantly, on their time. With these advancements, clients can travel smarter with new technologies thus allowing for more focus on business related strategies. Booking in advance and travelling outside peak periods encourages good corporate governance. As we edge closer to ushering in 2025, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your continued support and loyalty. As a valued client of Thompsons Travel, we, as a proud TMC are honoured with the trust bestowed upon us. I firmly believe that it is this trust that further cements our commitment in providing you with the highest level of service and value. Wishing you all a rested holiday and a prosperous and successful 2025. Warm Regards Sharon
