I am filled with overwhelming joy and peace as I sit in this warm, comforting space, surrounded by my two beautiful children. This is all thanks to THE CRADLE OF HOPE, a safe haven that has kept us in tranquillity throughout our healing journey. The journey at THE HOUSE OF RESTORATION has truly lived up to its name. It has restored my life, faith in God, and hope for brighter days, which I am now wholeheartedly embracing. In the embrace of this organisation, I have found healing through therapy sessions, morning blessing meetings, and engaging Bible studies. Moreover, I have discovered immense value in THE CRADLE OF HOPE's core values. Through the opportunity to attend parenting classes, I have become a proud and loving mother who takes exceptional care of my children. The excellent teachers at Tjokkers have supported me in encouraging my son to be free and happy. Witnessing my children play joyfully, giggling, and experiencing the things I always fervently prayed for fills my heart with indescribable gratitude. With the help of Janine and Candice, I am finally obtaining my ID, a task I struggled with for five years in the North West. I have also learned the importance of saving and being responsible, becoming more disciplined and consistent in my actions. Today, I am at peace with myself. I can never express enough gratitude to God for giving strength to Melodie, the incredible staff members, and the donors who tirelessly keep this organisation running. Confidently, I wear my scars on my sleeves, facing life's challenges like a true heroine. Every morning, I wake up ready to bless others, knowing that being here is a blessing. I am determined to help those who remind me of a time when God pulled me out of the darkness. This place has empowered me to become a powerful woman, and I am deeply grateful. Another 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children has passed, and yet the fight continues. The journey towards a world free from violence is long, and our President yearly delivers the same empty promises. But we at THE CRADLE OF HOPE are unwavering in our mission. COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAM - Established in 2016: The establishment of our COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAM was in response to a growing number of hungry adults and children seeking food assistance. Our primary objective is to provide sustenance to those experiencing food insecurity by offering a nutritious meal to approximately 500 hungry adults and children every weekday. To effectively carry out our mission, we rely on the generosity of our donors to provide essential items such as bread, peanut butter, jam, spreads, margarine, fresh fruit, and soup ingredients. These contributions enable us to address the immediate needs of our community's most vulnerable. We sincerely appreciate the valuable assistance of volunteers, who contribute their time and effort in spreading sandwiches and supporting our efforts to alleviate hunger within our community.
