    Superbalist Marketing Workshop Brings Fresh Campaigns To Life. Our evolving marketing team and internal agency attended a fruitful workshop hosted by Matt Brownell, former VP of Marketing and Sales at Yoco. Hosted at the beautiful Rooftop On Bree, our team completed several creatively-charged exercises to spark new ideas, with Brownell guiding the session and offering valuable insights into creating ideas that customers will love and break through the noise in the sea of advertising. By the end of the session, the team walked away with an integrated roadmap of inspired campaign ideas for the season ahead. The first of which launches this September and we can’t wait to celebrate the Superbalist community. “We are striving to have one of the most formidable marketing teams in the South African online fashion space, and Matt truly helped us solidify a way forward,” says Grant Paul Roy, our newly-minted head of Customer Experience.     In the past 18 months, the South African online fashion industry has seen a surge of new entrants - both local and international. So, how does Superbalist stand out? By putting the customer first! In the last few months, we've focused on aligning customer expectations with exceptional customer experiences. By leveraging best in class agile methodologies, we've been able to rapidly develop and deploy features that customers love: - AI-driven “See Similar” suggestions - “Shop the Look” recommendations - Influencer shops - Flexible returns, cancellations, and collection rescheduling - High-gloss editorial imagery While a lot remains to be done, we are very excited about our progress which has had a direct impact on how our customers see, perceive and review us. The numbers tell a story on their own: - Superbalist is the highest-rated fashion app in South Africa, based on over 70,000 iOS reviews. - An “Excellent” rating from 'Trusted Shops', a 3rd party reviews collector, with over 30 000 Superbalist reviews this past year - And an exponential growth in positive review volumes, growing 300% in a the last quarter alone. These initiatives, alongside reducing order cancellations, delays, and delivery times, have driven customer satisfaction to all-time highs. Grant Paul Roy, Superbalist’s CXO, sums it up: “Growth follows the customer, not vice versa.” Together, we’ll continue to keep South Africa’s favourite online fashion store at the top of it’s game.

  • Superbalist’s Influencer Shop Grows From Strength To Strength. Our invite-only Influencer Shop has exceeded all expectations. Since the launch of the Superbalist Influencer Shop on 23 April 2024, the programme has generated an income of more than R80 000 per month for some of our top influencers. The programme was developed with a dual purpose in mind, to support the creator economy by collaborating with local content producers and to give our customers access to fashion and style inspiration from South African women. The result has seen outstanding social and commercial success with social media engagement doubling since the launch as well as a significant uptick in social commerce, with an annualised run rate that’s over 50% higher than early estimations. While Influencer Shop is an exclusive affiliate programme, we look forward to collaborating with more dynamic influencers and content creators in the future.   • Our first Beauty Week of the year has concluded, but not before we treated our staff. A selection of luxury fragrances was put out for staff to try on, including our Kate Spade fragrances. Beauty brand Stila hosted an activation where anyone from the Superbalist team could get their makeup done, leaving the staff feeling fabulous and weekend ready. The winner of our beauty quiz was one of our visual merchandisers, Tasqeen Dawad, who walked away with a coveted Beauty Box valued at more than R5000.

  • The Superbalist Biannual Excellence Awards were hosted on Wednesday, 15 May, shining a spotlight on the staff that have gone above and beyond to ensure our operations run seamlessly. The theme was “Cowboy Couture”, and staff members were seen showing off a variety of chic country-inspired outfits as they enjoyed cocktails courtesy of Johnnie Walker and kept their yeehaw energy going thanks to Red Bull. After some mingling and hors d'oeuvres, the awards for various staff member and teams were handed out followed by line dancing.
