  • Today marks a significant milestone as Solareff, in collaboration with the Mossel Bay Municipality, broke ground on the new solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage solution (BESS) at the Hartenbos Wastewater Treatment Works! Designed, engineered, and installed by Solareff, this system will operate as a Microgrid, connected to the grid under normal conditions. In case of grid interruptions, the BESS will take over, supported by the Solar PV system during sunlight hours. Standby Diesel Generators will provide additional support if both the batteries and grid supply (or solar generation) are unavailable. This project not only ensures a reliable and eco-friendly power supply but also promotes environmental conservation by reducing carbon emissions. Stay tuned for more project updates as we work towards a greener future! #Solareff #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #Sustainability #GreenEnergy #MosselBay https://lnkd.in/gsTxv9Fk
