🌊 Protecting our oceans, preserving our communities. The Sanlam is proud to renew its sponsorship of the Shark Spotters program in Plettenberg Bay for a third consecutive year. 🦈✨ This vital initiative monitors shark activity, prevents sharks from entering popular beaches, and fosters safer interactions between humans and marine life. By reducing shark-human conflict, it restores confidence in enjoying our beautiful local beaches while promoting coexistence with nature. At Sanlam, we’re committed to creating a safer, more sustainable environment for all. 🌍💙

As part of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, Sanlammers came together to make a real difference. 💙 On Tuesday, 26 November, 62 Sanlammers at our Alice Lane office packed 500 care packages across three shifts. Just two days later, 171 colleagues at our Bellville Head Office joined forces to pack an incredible 1,000 care packages. These packages were donated to three amazing organisations supporting survivors of gender-based violence: Bombani Women’s Shelter in Alexandra, Johannesburg, and Where Rainbows Meet in Vrygrond, and Brotherhood of Elite South Africa (BESA) based in Khayelitsha extending up to Malmesbury in the Western Cape. This heartfelt effort is a powerful reminder of the care and compassion we can bring to those who need it most. Thank you to everyone who took part — your kindness truly matters! #UnitedForImpact #SanlamFoundation.

🌟 Empowering small businesses and transforming lives! 🌟 We’re thrilled to celebrate the graduation of the first cohort of the Fellows Leadership and Mentoring Programme, a partnership between Sanlam and the University of the Western Cape🎓. This initiative provided 23 small businesses (SMMEs) with accredited training, leadership coaching, and personalised mentorship, equipping them to achieve sustainable growth and resilience. Some of the impact highlights include: ✅ 60% of the participants are black women-owned businesses. ✅ These enterprises span critical sectors like agriculture, energy, technology, and tourism. ✅ The programme aligns with South Africa’s National Development Plan, which projects that 90% of new jobs will come from SMMEs by 2030.
