As part of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, Sanlammers came together to make a real difference. 💙 On Tuesday, 26 November, 62 Sanlammers at our Alice Lane office packed 500 care packages across three shifts. Just two days later, 171 colleagues at our Bellville Head Office joined forces to pack an incredible 1,000 care packages. These packages were donated to three amazing organisations supporting survivors of gender-based violence: Bombani Women’s Shelter in Alexandra, Johannesburg, and Where Rainbows Meet in Vrygrond, and Brotherhood of Elite South Africa (BESA) based in Khayelitsha extending up to Malmesbury in the Western Cape. This heartfelt effort is a powerful reminder of the care and compassion we can bring to those who need it most.  🏉 An Unforgettable Showdown at the Sanlam Boland Top 12 Final 🏉 Over 12,000 passionate fans filled Boland Stadium in Wellington for the thrilling Sanlam Boland Top 12 rugby tournament finale. In a nail-biting clash, Robertson Town RFC claimed a hard-fought 31-29 victory over Villagers Worcester RFC. Both teams showcased exceptional skill and determination, delivering a match to remember! The energy from the fans was electric, fuelling the incredible action on the field. Huge congratulations to both teams for their outstanding performances and playing with confidence! From the start line to the finish, the atmosphere was electric, with crowds lining the streets to cheer on runners every step of the way. The event celebrated Cape Town's beauty and Africa's running talent, blending world-class athleticism with breathtaking scenery to deliver a race like no other. Plus, we're thrilled to share that the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon has officially completed Stage 1 of the Abbott World Marathon Majors candidacy process — bringing it one step closer to becoming Africa’s first Major marathon! 🌍🏅 Take a look back at the speed, strategy, and gees that made this year's marathon race for the history books.

🌟 Empowering small businesses and transforming lives! 🌟 We’re thrilled to celebrate the graduation of the first cohort of the Fellows Leadership and Mentoring Programme, a partnership between Sanlam and the University of the Western Cape🎓. This initiative provided 23 small businesses (SMMEs) with accredited training, leadership coaching, and personalised mentorship, equipping them to achieve sustainable growth and resilience. Some of the impact highlights include: ✅ 60% of the participants are black women-owned businesses. ✅ These enterprises span critical sectors like agriculture, energy, technology, and tourism. ✅ The programme aligns with South Africa’s National Development Plan, which projects that 90% of new jobs will come from SMMEs by 2030.

Today, we celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities – a day observed annually to promote the rights and wellbeing of persons with disabilities. This day is not simply about acknowledging the challenges persons with disabilities often face, it is about recognising their extraordinary contributions as well as how they enrich our workplace.
