Charles Ramaru received a new wheelchair through QASA. He writes in his thank you letter: “I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the power wheelchair I received through your organisation.” “Your unwavering support has made a significant difference in my life and my parents are so happy for always giving me satisfactory support. The DAATS power wheelchair has exceeded my expectations – it’s both powerful and incredibly comfortable. I couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.” The donation was made possible with the support received from the Strategic Fuel Fund Association. 🚍 Assessing Accessibility: MyCiTi Bus service 🚍 Last week, QASA conducted an accessibility assessment on selected MyCiTi Bus routes in Cape Town. Five wheelchair users participated, evaluating the accessibility of bus stops, boarding areas, and surrounding infrastructure across three stops on each route. This exercise was part of QASA’s ongoing efforts to highlight challenges and advocate for improved mobility and inclusion for people with disabilities. We are proud of the participants for their valuable contributions, and their feedback will help inform future advocacy for accessible public transport in South Africa. #AccessibilityForAll #QASA #InclusiveTransport #DisabilityRights
