We believe in celebrating birthdays in a special way!🎈 🎉 Instead of traditional gifts, we come together as a team to make a difference in our community. 🤝🏼✨ Colleen McLintock chose to support the Johannesburg Zoo. We had an incredible day being part of the behind-the-scenes world of zoo management. From cleaning and feeding to learning about the daily operations, it was a fascinating and eye-opening experience! 🦓🦒🐘 A huge shoutout to Imelda and her dedicated team for sharing their expertise and passion. Here’s a glimpse into what we learned: 🍎 Kitchen & Nutrition: We discovered how the nutritionists plan and prepare meals for the animals, ensuring each species gets the right diet. 🏥 Hospital Care: The zoo’s centralised in-house hospital is amazing, equipped with an X-ray machine, a theater, and a dedicated team of two vets and a vet nurse. 🐣 Conservation Projects: We explored the bird incubators where eggs are hatched and learned about their ongoing conservation initiatives. 🚐 Safari Tour: We were treated to an exclusive safari tour, where we got up close with some of the zoo’s incredible residents. 🐘 Elephant Enclosure: We supported the hardworking staff at the elephant enclosure by providing lunch and donations. The zoo’s educational outreach programs for the local community were inspiring, and it was heartwarming to see the impact of their efforts firsthand. 💙 As a team, we donated funds to support the zoo’s work, and Omnicor proudly matched the amount collected. Together, we made a difference!
