For their presentation, the team presented a community-driven financial inclusion initiative tailored specifically for low-income individuals and marginalised communities in South Africa. Its aim is to empower the unbanked, foster economic resilience, and promote financial well-being. The Ukukhanya beacon is a multifunctional device that serves as a physical representation of the Ukukhanya Fund's mission to illuminate financial inclusion. It is a portable, solar-powered beacon designed to be accessible to communities with limited Internet access and prevalent theft concerns. What a truly worthy initiative designed to address the most pressing needs of communities in need across the country. Congratulations to the Uncalled Five team.
