At the recent AWS Summit in Johannesburg, Ross Holland, Nimble’s AI Engineer and Machine Learning Consultant, shared how we're leveraging cutting-edge AI and cloud technologies to deliver real customer impact. His presentation highlighted the transformative power of AI in reshaping customer experiences and boosting operational efficiency. Revolutionizing Customer Support with AI and Cloud Technology In his talk, Ross focused on how Nimble is using AWS Cloud and AI-driven solutions to tackle significant challenges, such as transforming outdated email communication systems. He detailed how advanced AI models have enabled us to supercharge email resolutions, reducing a daunting email backlog from 16,500 to just 2,000 within weeks. With email queries typically being more complex and detailed compared to other channels like WhatsApp, our application of AI to successfully deal with the bulk of email requests, is a significant technical feat. Doing so has also allowed us to route more intricate inquiries that require human intervention to the right agents. Setting a New Standard in AI-Driven Customer Engagement The AWS Summit, attended by cloud computing professionals, business leaders, and innovators, provided the perfect platform for Ross to demonstrate how Nimble is redefining customer engagement. Ross emphasized that AI is not just a tool for efficiency but also a way to foster more meaningful and supportive customer relationships. “Our focus isn’t just on speeding up the process,” explained Ross. “We’re creating a more empathetic and human connection, even in interactions powered by AI.” In addition to his presentation, Ross participated in discussions about the future of AI in Africa, offering insights on how businesses can adopt these technologies to broaden their reach and better serve diverse audiences. Nelson Mandela Day at Nimble Group: Sharing Bread and Community Spirit For Nelson Mandela Day, Nimble Group dedicated our 67 minutes of service by bringing our team together with open hearts and enthusiasm to prepare sandwiches, that were then distributed to various community-focused facilities. This simple act of giving not only brought enjoyment to those we served but also strengthened our sense of community within the company. “Breaking and sharing bread” represents the ripple effect of positive impact we aim to create; because a team collaboratively motivated by good intentions and helpful actions towards one another, our clients, and the broader community we serve - embodies this spirit. We were especially touched to receive a thank you letter from St Agnes School, expressing their gratitude for the food and additional monetary donation provided for their school. As we reflect on this year's Mandela Day, we are reminded that the spirit of giving and community extends beyond a single day, to the lasting connections we make and contribution to positive change that we as a company, continue to aim for.

Our commitment to supporting St. Agnes Primary School in Woodstock, Cape Town, is one of the many ways we try to make a difference. In addition to upgrading the computer room and providing administrative support to let teachers focus on what they do best – teaching – our Nimble team are always enthusiastic volunteers for activities that make the children's experience even richer. One such recent highlight was our participation in the Kaskar Day fundraiser. An event that let the students just enjoy being kids, as expressed by Ms. Kolbe and her staff: "We, the teachers and staff of St Agnes Primary, would like to extend our sincere thanks to you for offering up your time to assist us on Kaskar Day. The learners thoroughly enjoyed the day. Many of them expressed this to their teachers. It was a day when they could forget their quarrels, negative emotions, self-esteem issues, difficult home circumstances, and just be kids. It was only made possible by the willing hands and hearts of people like you, coming alongside our teachers. Please do not underestimate the contribution you have made to the lives of these children and to the school." These words mean the world to us as we continue supporting St. Agnes Primary and strive to make a positive impact on young lives in our community.
