Follow me for valuable tips and insights to help streamline your EE reporting. #EECompliance #EmploymentEquity #HRCompliance #EmploymentEquityReporting #SkillsDevelopment #WorkplaceDiversity #EESubmissionTips EE Reporting Tip #1: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 The Employment Equity (EE) reporting period must cover 12 months. However, if you're reporting for the first time, a period shorter than 12 months is allowed. Designated employers who were previously deregistered must report for the full 12 months. The workforce profile should reflect the last day of your reporting period, and you must include data on recruitment, promotions, terminations, and skills development. Since the EE reporting window is open from 1 October to 15 January, it is advisable to ensure your reporting period falls within this timeframe. Employers are not obligated to align their reporting period with their financial year-end. While the duration of your EE plan and reporting period may align, it’s not a requirement.

The 2024 Employment Equity reporting period starts from 1 September 2024 to 15 January 2025. Non-compliance will result in significant penalties: up to R1.5 million or 2% of annual turnover for initial offenses, escalating to R2.7 million or 10% of annual turnover for subsequent offenses.
