Brand mistakes that are costing your company money [Even if you’re established] ⇩ Mistake # 1: ----------- ✘ Not having a strategy in place ✘ I know, you think you have a strategy, The vision-mission document, Hidden in file 13. [Or not.] But that’s not the strategy I’m talking about. I’m talking about a brand strategy. Let’s say [for example] that you want to grow in Q4. You could keep “pushing sales”, Hoping for the best 🤞 [potentially wasting marketing budget] Or you could try this instead: 1️⃣ Review your current brand - Is it going to get you where you want to go. 2️⃣ Review the current landscape - are you still relevant? 3️⃣ Identify the gaps in your brands foundation - are you set up for success? 4️⃣ What do you need to do to uniquely position yourself in the market? 5️⃣ Take action. And then review progress. Make sure that your brand will get you to where you want to go. - Emma Weise 🌱Helpful? Please share this with someone who deserves to grow. Ps... anyone else imagining just how dang cold this mountain is??? 🥶

🙋♀️ if this is the first time you heard the term "en dash" and "em dash"? When Salomé van Niekerk first used the term, my first thought was... huh?!?! What's a "em dash"???🤔 Imagining myself in a 50m dash [Get it... Emma...Em... dash ...🏃♀️ 😆 !] I certainly didn't grow up with the awareness of these two dashes! [after all, my keyboard only has one!!!] I thought it was interesting, So I encouraged the team to share it with you too. 👇
Grammar matters… Translation is about more than just words and the rules around punctuation vary between languages. ▸ American English uses the em dash without spaces on either side to emphasise text in a sentence—like this. ▸ But in all South Africa's official languages, we use an en dash with spaces on either side – it looks like this. On a scale of 1-5, how much would you say you use these dashes in your translations? #dashes #translation #localization

Are your clients getting you to where you want to go?

Will your brand [and clients] get your business, to where you want it to go? I have seen the impact, that this one aspect can have, on a business. I had a client who wanted to shift her business & grow. So we sat down, and "deep dived" into her strategy. When we fine tuned her ideal clients, we got specific as to where she should focus, and found a new growth area for her business. Brand strategy ended up being a complete game changer for her business. 1. She was excited about the new direction, 2. She aligned her processes, 3. Tidied up her offerings 4. Made some changes to her team, 5. Focused on attracting the new client Pretty soon she had some awesome results: // She doubled her turnover... // and has had offers to sell her business. So by spending a bit of time on getting clarity, it can help set you on the right path, with some unexpected results! When last did you audit your clients?
