Check out this paper, which proposed an innovative gold leaching model way back in 1995. The mathematical model presented then was a revolutionary way of describing gold-leaching reactions.    Written by CM Solutions’ Founder Frank Crundwell and Sven Godorr, Venture Capital Technology Lead at Sasol Ventures, the interesting aspect of this paper demonstrated for the first time that gold dissolution is described by half-order kinetics, in agreement with the electrochemical model of dissolution.
