Every year, we proudly capture the spirit of Atterbury with a group photo that takes its place of honour in our office reception. This year’s photo holds extra significance—it features not only our incredible team but also a special piece of our history. We’ve included the founders of Atterbury, Louis van der Watt and Francois van Niekerk, in a photo taken in 1994, the year it all began. Their vision and dedication laid the foundation for what Atterbury has become today—a leader in property development, shaping vibrant precincts and lasting legacies. Here’s to honouring our roots while building an exciting future together! #AtterburyLegacy #30YearsOfExcellence #BuildingOurFuture #TeamAtterbury

Sustainability Meets Innovation. Our Group CEO, Louis van der Watt, was recently a keynote speaker at the Timber Construction Conference. The event focused on the theme "Growing Timber Connections" and brought together architects, engineers, academics, and industry leaders to discuss the future of timber in construction. Louis spoke passionately about the role of timber in the future of property development, urging architects to better market timber’s benefits to developers. This theme resonates deeply with us at Atterbury, where timber represents more than just a building material—it symbolises creativity, collaboration, and sustainability. Featured here is our spectacular wooden dome, crafted by renowned “wood whisperer” David Krynauw, which serves as the think-tank in our office reception. A fitting reminder of how timber inspires forward-thinking solutions every day. For more on the conference and Louis’s vision for timber in development, read the article featured in Forestry in South Africa: https://lnkd.in/deTzzUQC It’s a matter of association—our industry networks and sustainable initiatives drive innovation, creating connected and impactful spaces.
