Ukrainian Prism is one of the leading Ukrainian think tanks with robust expertise in foreign policy and international security. Prism UA consists of 10 study programs, covering all functional and geographical directions of Ukrainian foreign policy. Annually, the expert team produces a comprehensive assessment of the activity of Ukrainian foreign service under the authentic methodology. Experts of the organization take part in the intersectoral task forces, working on the strategic framework of Ukraine in the foreign policy and security domain. The team’s members contributed to the Foreign policy strategy of Ukraine, Maritime Strategy, Publicly Diplomacy Strategy, MFA’s strategy for Asia and Asia. From the start of 2023 there has launched an office of the “Ukrainian Prism” in Brussels to extend outreach for in-house expertise to European governments and EU institutions. “Ukrainian Prism” is one of the leaders in the implementation of innovative practices of expert diplomacy. In particular, jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it implements the concept of bilateral expert forums with partner EU states to discuss potentially sensitive issues.

  • 📣 On December 12, the Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism” hosted the presentation of a study conducted by the international iSANS center titled “Military Propaganda of the Lukashenka Regime Against Poland and NATO: Dangerous Incitement of Hatred (May - November 2024).” 🔎 Interested experts, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, and activists of Belarusian democratic forces attended the event. They listened to a presentation by Yevhen Mahda, PhD in Political Science, researcher at the “European Expert Association,” and iSANS expert, followed by a discussion. 🎤 The event was moderated by Iaroslav Chornogor, PhD in History, Director of the Russian and Belarusian Studies Program at the NGO “Foreign Policy Council ‘Ukrainian Prism.’” 🇺🇦 The topic is crucial for both Ukraine and regional security, as it is essentially a continuation of the Kremlin’s aggressive policies, particularly regarding the “nuclear blackmail” employed by these authoritarian regimes against the global community. ➡️ With this event, “Ukrainian Prism” continues its series “Belarusian Platform,” dedicated to analyzing the situation in and around Belarus.   • 🇺🇦🇲🇽 Cafe Kyiv - expert discussions with Ukrainian flavour in Mexico City During their visit to Mexico, experts from the Ukrainian Prism and partners from European think tanks The Clingendael Institute (Netherlands) and European Policy Centre (Brussels) took part in a discussion at the 'Kyiv Cafe'. The unique format of informal discussions between experts and journalists from leading media with a taste of Ukrainian cuisine was launched by the Embassy of Ukraine in Mexico. The result was a frank conversation and interesting observations from Ukrainian and Mexican participants. Just a few topics that sparked a lively discussion:  ✅ The situation on the frontline and prospects for a just and sustainable peace, ✅ How can Mexico, despite its neutrality, support Ukraine?  What should Kyiv and Mexico City expect from the new Trump administration? We are sincerely grateful to each of the embassy staff and personally to the Ambassador Oksana Dramaretska and her deputy Victoria Khaladzhy for organising the event and facilitating the visit!
