Honoured to be a part of the Seeds of Bravery project Since its launch on December 20, 2023, the Seeds of Bravery project has become a driving force in fostering innovation and strengthening the tech ecosystem. Key Numbers: ✅ €3.6 million in funding distributed. ✅ 980+ proposals received, resulting in 139 grants awarded to over 110 companies. 🌍 Global Reach While most applications came from Ukrainian innovators, we also attracted submissions from Poland, the UK, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Estonia, and beyond, showcasing our international influence. 🦾 Focusing on Key Innovation Sectors Submissions predominantly targeted deep tech, infrastructure, education and science, healthcare/life sciences, and agri-food technologies—aligning perfectly with the initiative’s mission. 💡 Empowering Startups Beyond Funding In addition to its financial grants, the project extends a robust suite of 17 non-financial support activities. Below are the main achievements under these programmes: ✅ 7 startups completed the Deep Tech Incubators Programme, with 10 more currently in progress. ✅ 19 startups graduated from the Deep Tech Accelerator Programme, including 14 from its inaugural cohort. ✅ 49 teams successfully finished the Science2Business Programme. ✅ 227 free tickets enabled startups to attend 14 major tech exhibitions across Europe. ✅ 163 participants honed their skills at the Investor Literacy Programme for Business Angels. ✅ 12 Market Discovery Workshops covered 19 countries, engaging 790 participants. ✅ 16 coworking spaces in Ukraine and Europe provided free access for Ukrainian startups. ✅ 46 participants from 23 companies attended the Summer School on Entrepreneurship. Seeds of Bravery is driving innovation, empowering startups, and forging connections that transcend borders. 💡 Innovations can transform into successful businesses and real-world products. HeisterVR, a Ukrainian defense tech startup, received a grant of UAH 100,000 from Kiss My Apps as the most promising project at the Science2Business acceleration program. 📌 The startup's goal is to reduce the military's losses on the battlefield during the adaptation phase through training sessions using VR and XR (extended reality) technologies. For six weeks, the founders Vladyslav Maliarchuk and Serhii Brodiuk have been working on improving the project and finding scaling models. At this point, technology aims to help soldiers: —> distinguish among various types of shelling —> accurately assess the distance and potential threats —> react to these threats rapidly and in coordination. 👏 Based on the results of the final pitching, the startup studio Kiss My Apps, a partner of the Science2Business program, selected HeisterVR as the most up-to-date and close-to-implementation idea. 💙 We wish the team success and further growth!
