🏆 Our social project has been honored with silver recognition at the international "Partnership for Sustainability Award 2024," organized by the UN Global Compact Ukraine in the "Planet" category. This year, in partnership with the Zavalivska community, we implemented the “Warmth in Every Heart” project. For a local residential care facility housing 48 elderly people with special needs, we procured and installed an all-season solar water heating system with a 500-liter capacity. This system, powered by solar energy, provides a stable supply of hot water year-round, regardless of weather conditions. Significant changes toward sustainable development begin when communities receive support. The full-scale invasion and targeted attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have shifted priorities, driving us to focus on impactful social projects. Our initiative has significantly improved the living conditions at the Territorial Center for Social Services by ensuring stable access to hot water even amid frequent power outages. Additionally, utilizing clean solar energy reduces electricity costs and greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to environmental conservation and climate action. We are deeply grateful to our partners, team, and local community for their trust and collaboration. We call on entrepreneurs and companies to invest in social projects. Such investments not only make businesses more resilient but also strengthen society. ➡️ About the Partnership for Sustainability Award: The award recognizes the collaborative efforts of businesses, governments, and civil society aimed at creating a better future. It has brought together over 500 initiatives from businesses and NGOs across Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, Poland, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey. The award seeks to raise awareness of shared values such as human rights, sustainability, and development, which are fundamental to a civilized world. #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #SustainableDevelopment #CorporateSocialResponsibility #PartnershipForSustainability #EnergyEfficiency #CleanEnergy #ClimateAction #CommunitySupport #SocialImpact #GreenTransition #UNGlobalCompact #InnovationForGood #EnergyIndependence

On December 12, two events simultaneously highlighted the challenges and prospects of wind energy: the final conference of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) and the panel discussion at GET Business Festival 2024, titled “The City That Always Has Light — Looking to the Future Despite the War”. 🔸 At the UWEA conference, Board members and representatives of leading wind energy companies discussed the key trends and barriers for 2024. Olga Rybachuk, Managing Director of Elementum Energy, emphasized the importance of strategic decisions to overcome industry challenges. The company is actively advancing new capacity projects across various regions of Ukraine, including a 200 MW project Wind Park West, which was successfully finalized just recently. 🔸 At the GET Business Festival 2024, Olga Rybachuk highlighted the potential of “green” generation in rebuilding the country’s energy system. According to her, wind projects are capable of replacing 3-4 GW of lost capacity within the coming years. Elementum Energy’s experience validates this: during the recent blackout in Odesa, the company’s Dniester Wind Farm provided over 25% of the region’s energy needs. Wind energy does not simply address shortages – it serves as a reliable and rapid solution for Ukraine’s energy independence. Achieving this requires a clear focus on renewable technologies, starting today. Details about the events and video recordings of the discussions can be found via the links in the comments 👇 #Decarbonization #RenewableEnergy #GreenerFuture #Sustainability #RenergyDynamics #GreenEnergy #UkraineEnergy #WindEnergy

We are pleased to share important news — Elementum Energy acquired a large-scale wind power project in western Ukraine, an area with high wind potential. ⚡️The station will generate approximately 700 GWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the yearly consumption of about 600,000 people. This project will not only help address the energy deficit but also provide stability during peak demand periods. 💶The total investment in this project will exceed €300 million. Financing is expected to come from local banks, international financial organizations, export credit agencies, and Elementum Energy’s own equity. The project will be fast-tracked and is expected to reach "ready-to-build" (RTB) status by the end of 2025. As Olga Rybachuk, Managing Director of Elementum Energy, stated: “This large-scale project marks a significant step in executing our strategy of geographic diversification and expanding our wind energy portfolio. Despite the challenges of war, we continue to invest in renewable energy development because we believe that such initiatives not only enhance our energy resilience and security but also lay the foundation for a sustainable future for the country.” 🌱This project will make a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions, preventing over 530,000 tons of harmful emissions annually, and creating opportunities for regional economic growth. At the 15th European-Ukrainian Energy Day held in Vienna, Victoria Pysmenna, General Counsel at Elementum Energy, shared insights on the company’s key focus areas and development projects, as well as the risks and opportunities they face in the current market environment. For Elementum Energy, which holds the largest renewable energy portfolio in Ukraine, three main priorities stand out: 1️⃣ Providing electricity to Ukrainian households and businesses 2️⃣ Developing four new wind parks, with plans to start construction in 2025 3️⃣ Optimizing energy sales and exploring flexible commercial solutions for stable revenue Victoria also highlighted key challenges: ➡️Logistical and construction risks due to the war, grid connection complications, talent recruitment needs, and risk mitigation policies from major off-takers ➡️The lack of a positive precedent for long-term investments, which impacts investor confidence in the sector However, regulatory changes in 2022-2023 have enabled the company to test new approaches, creating flexible sales models with blended pricing that attract new investments. Additionally, deeper alignment with European climate goals and access to the CBAM mechanism, which encourages investment in clean technologies and compliance with European standards, offer further incentives for renewable energy development "2024 has been a year focused on actively preparing projects for construction and securing financing. We expect 2025 to be the year when these projects begin active implementation," Victoria concluded. Our thanks to the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency, of which Elementum Energy is a member, for organizing such an impactful discussion on renewable energy as a sustainable path to growth. #RenewableEnergy #GreenerFuture #Sustainability #GreenEnergy #UkraineEnergy #UkrainianEnergyMarket
