The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) bids farewell to Monika Staab. Since she joined in August 2021, Staab’s time with SAFF has been filled with national successes and impactful contributions that have reshaped the landscape of women's football in Saudi Arabia. As head coach of the newly created Saudi Women’s National Team in 2021, Monika quickly became a catalyst for change with key initiatives. Under her leadership, SAFF launched pivotal programs such as the first Regional Women's League, the Women's National Football Championship and Saudi Women’s Premier League, and the development of our U17 and U20 national teams later as SAFF Women’s Technical Director. These efforts have not only nurtured talent across the nation but also led to the historic entry of the Saudi Women’s National Team into the FIFA rankings in March 2023. Monika's commitment to advancing women's sports has inspired countless young Saudi athletes to dream bigger and strive for excellence. Her legacy is one of empowerment and progress, paving a bright pathway for the future of women's football in the Kingdom. As she moves forward, the entire SAFF family extend its sincere gratitude for her pioneering spirit and dedication. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
